LKSK empowers marginalized communities for a just, self-reliant, and sustainable society.

LKSK is a registered non-profit organization dedicated to uplifting tribal, backward, and marginalized communities since 2003. We work to enhance lives through education, healthcare, empowerment, livelihood development, and climate change initiatives. Our mission is to foster self-reliance and social justice by organizing, educating, and empowering the rural poor. We emphasize gender equity, economic growth, and sustainable living. Through our programs, we aim to create opportunities for skill development and better livelihoods. Our efforts focus on building a progressive and peaceful society with mutual support. Based in Pakur, Jharkhand, we continue to drive positive change.

Programs

Strengthening Local Democracy for Inclusive Governance

The Local Democracy Project, supported by APPI, empowers rural communities by enhancing awareness and governance practices. With a focus on capacity-building, the program trains local leaders, women, and youth to effectively access and utilize government facilities.
Key Impact Highlights:
✔ 17 Gram Pradhans trained and oriented.
✔ 3,650 women leaders empowered through training.
✔ 1,450 adolescents linked with AG groups.
✔ 2 Gram Panchayats made fully functional.
By engaging 17,000 rural beneficiaries along with government bodies, media, and local leaders, the initiative fosters an informed and participatory democracy. With a dedicated team of 9 staff members, LKSK continues to drive governance reforms for a more equitable society..
